At Reflex Physio we understand that individuals with disabilities require specialised care and support to enhance their quality of life.
Our dedicated and experienced physiotherapists are here to provide tailored services that cater to the unique needs of participants under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) on the Gold Coast and Northern NSW.
What is NDIS Physiotherapy?
NDIS Physiotherapy focuses on improving the physical well-being and functional independence of individuals with disabilities of all ages and demographics. The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) aims to support people with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives by providing them with the necessary resources and services they require.
We understand how important it is to feel comfortable with your physiotherapist, so for our NDIS patients, we offer a free telehealth introduction meet and greet before your first in-home appointment to make sure you feel comfortable.
All our mobile physiotherapists have extensive experience with NDIS patients and are highly recommended by other NDIS participants. Your comfort, trust and peace of mind are paramount to us.
*Note, this is a introduction/meet and greet only and not a assessment appointment. View full T&C here:
The Reflex Physio Approach
Depending on the conditions and disabilities of the participants, these are some of the services we provide:
- Assessment and Goal Setting: We begin by conducting a comprehensive assessment of the participant’s physical condition, functional abilities, and goals. This helps us tailor a personalized treatment plan that aligns with their aspirations.
- Mobility Enhancement: Our physiotherapists work to improve participants’ mobility and function for day-to-day life or other activities through targeted exercises, manual therapy and other techniques. We address issues related to muscle strength, joint flexibility, and coordination.
- Pain Management: Nobody should have to deal with pain. Participants with disabilities often experience pain due to their condition. We employ various techniques, such as manual therapy and gentle exercises, to manage and alleviate pain effectively.
- Balance and Coordination: Enhancing balance and coordination is crucial for preventing falls and promoting independence. Our physiotherapy sessions include exercises that focus on improving balance and reducing the risk of accidents.
- Functional Training: We prescribe specific exercises and engage participants in activities that replicate real-life scenarios to enhance their ability to perform daily tasks independently. This includes training in tasks such as transferring from bed to chair, walking, and using assistive devices if required.
- Home Exercise Programs: Providing exercises participants can do safely by themselves or with other support members is equally as important. We empower participants to continue their progress at home by providing tailored exercise programs that can be easily integrated into their routines.

What are the benefits of mobile physio treatment?
There are multiple benefits for having an at home Physiotherapy treatment. These include:
- Convenience.
In the past, clients had to go to the clinic for physiotherapy consultations, which could be challenging for many people. Our at-home service offers a convenient solution by allowing clients to receive treatment in the comfort of their own homes.
With our service, clients can experience the same quality of physiotherapy that they would receive in a clinic but with the added comfort and convenience of being in a familiar environment. - Assesment of home and daily life.
By having access to the client’s home, our physiotherapists can gain a better understanding of the difficulties that may arise from moving around the space. This insight allows us to tailor the treatment plan to address any specific challenges that the client may face within their home environment. We can also provide advice on how to adapt the home to better support the client’s condition and rehabilitation. Additionally, being in the client’s home enables our physiotherapists to demonstrate how to apply the treatment to their daily life and any activities they do around the house, making the therapy more practical and effective. - Comfort
Our clients often find that they feel more at ease discussing their condition in the safety and privacy of their own homes. This increased comfort level allows our physiotherapists to gain a better understanding of the client’s needs and develop a treatment plan that is tailored to their specific requirements. By providing a safe and familiar environment for clients, we are able to establish a better rapport and encourage them to share important information that may help us improve their treatment outcomes.
Is the treatment the same as visiting a clinic?
